The Iditarod isn't over when the first mushers crosses the finish line, it's over when the last ones cross it. No one is a looser in this race. The race started out with 66 teams. The information I get this morning shows that 46 teams have reached Nome, the finish point, with 7 teams still racing, 13 have scratched from the race.
The winner was Dallas Seavey coming in with 9 dogs. His team time was 9 days, 4 hours, 29 minutes and 26 seconds. So far the team to come in with least number of dogs still running, they all started out with 16, is Cim Smyth with 7 dogs!
