THE ALEUTIAN ISLANDS AND SHELL OIL
The Aleutian Islands in Alaska is pristine in it's beauty. It is ripe with the history and culture of the native peoples called the Aleuts. Over time, they have dealt with the decline of some animals that were a significant part of their lives. Still, there are an estimated 8,000 people living on the islands. A gentle peoples, living their lives much the same way as their ancestors.
Along comes Shell Oil. Shell can't seem to keep it's ship, The Noble Discoverer, where it's supposed to be. This ship is to be used to drill in the Arctic but it slipped it's mooring and drifted close to one of Alaska's Aleutian Islands. How can a company act responsibly with deep water drilling when it can't even keep it's ships in place?
How beautiful will the islands look with Shell's oil?
