This piece is 20" x 10". I've enjoyed painting many sunflowers in the past. This one is sold.
The title should actually read NOT AT THE ZOO. This was our second attempt to view the wild animals caged for our viewing pleasure. We had the same disheartening feeling today as we drew close to the entrance. Cars cars cars strollers strollers strollers and a full parking lot. Not the scene Abnormals are looking to find on an outing. For The Hermit that I am, the thought of mingling with that many from The Outside is almost disabling. So once again we turned around and came back to the cave. It's fair to say it was NOT a productive day. Nice but not productive.
We had a visitor from The Outside today. She had not met The Dame or The Leprechaun before. I love gatherings in my cave. All The Abnormals were in agreement that The Sister was an open, welcoming spirit among us. We were glad she shared some time with us.
There seems to be much more activity these days in The Neighborhood of The Abnormals. It surely is due to the cooler weather. The Dame's outdoor jungle allows Abnormals the ability to see but not be seen. We see many interesting things. We often see The Flibbertigibbet travel past. He comes by more frequently these days. One day he actually followed The Dame. Flibbertigibbets are slow though and she outmaneuvered him with ease. I thought we might see some at the zoo. Maybe we will, if we ever make it!
