I've painted a lot of food in the past. Mostly my cherries, apples, pears and olives. While I lived in NYC though I had a tendency to paint a lot of different foods. I'd go get wonderfully fresh bread, take it back to my tiny apartment and paint it. The trick was to paint it quickly enough to still be able to consume it! The Union Square Farmer's Market was the inspiration for many of those paintings. Of course there was Magnolia Bakery too. I guess all the walking there counteracts those calories!
Today's ACEO card is for The Dame. Happy Birthday my dear friend. I wish you were home instead of in Dodge. I would love to start the day with you in your outdoor jungle, sipping coffee and tasting the delicious baked goodies you always seem to have. Life seems to go in cycles and I think The Dame is on a precipice. Settle for nothing less than the best, for that is what you deserve. Someone once told me, "We teach others how to treat us". I hope today is the beginning of a new and wonderful adventure! The Abnormals all send hugs to Dodge!
