Last night Lester Holt did a story from Henryville, IN. It showed the Red Cross, the Salvation Army and a host of ordinary people from distant places. People, who out of compassion for the hurt strangers are going through, came to volunteer their time and money and energy to help their fellow human beings. Now I didn't go myself, although I did volunteer work for a time with the Red Cross, but it left me wondering....... Out of all who chose to stop their lives to give aid to these victims, how many do you think fall in the top 1%? I'd just bet that you would be hard pressed to find even one. The 99%, and most often those at the bottom of the 99%, are the ones who sacrifice the most for others. I salute you!
