The sky above The Gnome home. We do have beautiful skies!
The Leprechaun and The Gnome shared supper with me in the Cave last night. I tried Panera Bread's recipe for potato cream cheese soup. A very tasty meal indeed. It was a most enjoyable evening. The Leprechaun brought a bottle of fermented grapes for me and The Gnome, he prefers harder liquids, ours was most enjoyable.
This year was not a good year for backyard gardens. Anyone who tried this year knows. The Leprechaun planted an heirloom tomato plant, his first attempt to grow food in some time, and he tended to it all summer and never got to harvest a tomato. Until yesterday. Last night he brought his harvest over for us to share, his first heirloom tomato!
Worlds smallest heirloom tomato!
I often talk about The Cave. During the summer my dwelling did resemble such. My windows covered over so no light could penetrate and heat up The Cave. After my central air went out I decided to "target" cool the areas that I was occupying at the time. This seemed to work rather well so my thoughts are to save money this winter by again targeting the space I'm occupying at the time. In order to "trap" the heat in the space being occupied, barriers are up containing the heat where desired. My dwelling doesn't so much resemble a cave now but more of series of separated rooms

The Leprechaun says I've gone totally bohemian. Ah, what a compliment! I most enjoy my oddities. The Cave has such a warm feel to it. It's no wonder I'm a hermit. Who in their right mind would even want to leave such a cozy environment!
