ACEO DAY 69

Apples.  I've painted many apples.  I often paint pears, cherries and olives in unconventional colors but I seem to not change the apples as much.  I'm not sure why.  It's not that my colors of apples are necessarily realistic but they are not completely unrealistic.  No pinks, purples, blues.  At least not yet.

The Leprechaun spent time with me and my fur companion at the cave last evening.  He informed me that on Thursday he had a false awakening.  He awoke at 7:20 and as normal went to open the windows in the front of his abode.  He continued on with his routine, feed the cat, make coffee etc.  He commented to himself that his neighbor was out early.  After finishing his pot of coffee, he again looked out and noticed that it was indeed getting darker instead of lighter.  His little nap earlier lasted too long and had left him confused, more than normal, and he mistook the clock to read 7:20 am not 7:20 pm.  So, The Leprechaun and his companion, Egypt, stayed up till 3:00 am then once again went to sleep so they could reawaken and start the day over again.    I do love The Leprechaun!

I am adjusting to no cable.  The absence of CNN just possibly has been a good thing for me.  Although it does eliminate the possibility of much frustration, it also eliminates much humor at the expense of our glorious politicians.   Maybe the country should in fact be run by Abnormals!  We obviously have many great ideas that are discussed in The Cave.  Should that be a new political party?  The Abnormals?

A very very short visit with The Dame yesterday as she rode in from Dodge and rode back out to head south.  The days of leisurely sipping coffee and sampling her delicious baked goodies in her outdoor foliage I fear are a joy of the past.  The move will quickly be upon her and the new career keeps her traveling.  We will just have to find our new norm.
